Long and lonely road ... please comment for Mike

It's a long and lonely road for RAAM riders. Here's a shot of Mike 16 miles before time station #10 in Tuba City, Ariz. The crew is checking this Web site and will be passing comments on to Mike for inspiration and encouragement. Please feel free to comment on any of these posts by clicking on the "comments" link at the bottom of each post.

Mike,

You are awesome!!! We're so inspired we wanted to name our baby after you ... but it's a girl so we'll use the "M" in Mike instead. Keep up the good fight - strong & true to your own plan.

Love to see how great you look in the early running. Ride your own race. We are all thinking of you here in Des Moines. Been on the phone with Dwight already as you and your crew are in our thoughts. Stay tough and balanced.

Thanks Jim Woodman for all of the updates, they are great!

Mike-I slept with the computer last night so I could check your progress every time I woke up (which is quite frequently, since I am old and have to pee alot). Keep it up, Mike. Your "Home" team is watching and cheering.

Mike was about 25 miles from the Mississippi river the first time I met him. He was standing next to his support car, not really doing anything -- the crew were just standing there also.

The first thing I said as I approached Mike was "get back on the bike"........

Jim Amelung says "Hey Mike, it's you, the bike, and the clock, stay focused.......

Dear Mike,

Well, of course, my previous, poetic message was lost to the friggin vapors,Web-stchuff and all that crapola. It was a very poetic, inspirational message about deer, cats, mice, traffic signs, mailboxes; I guess the point was: every creature on God's green Earth is pulling for you ! When Mailboxes talk, and cats whisper, they're saying : Go, Mike, go! God loves you best! "

Your're the One !

Love Lyndah and critters
