So what's up with Slovenia?

With both Juré Robic and Marko Baloh – both Slovenians – and arguably Mike’s biggest challengers – it’s seems appropriate to give you guys a little education about Slovenia. The country sits just east of Italy, below Austria and north of Croatia. They joined the European Union in May 2004 and were part of Yugoslavia from 1945 until gaining independence in 1991.

Here’s a link to the wikipedia entry on Slovenia:

Yes, surprsingly, you may even learn something on the Team Trevino Web site. Speaking of which, let’s try to minimize the juvenile comments. So please refrain from the Mike’s sister and “affairs with Robic” comments. I’m all about having good fun, but let’s try to keep the comments focused on getting Mike to the finish line first.

As the evening progresses, we’ll post another update assuming the crew doesn’t find itself in another isolated cell-free zone of our wonderful western United States.

Mike’s amazing crew also inspires me, without a solid team this would not be possible. Thank you ALL for making many sacrifices to help him in the attainment of his goal!

You are incredible, keep up the great support!

I agree that the juvinile comments do not directly encourage Mike, but they may entertain him a bit as he cranks his way accross the country to victory. You are doing a great job managing the Blog. The Slovanian geography piece is helpful, but as you suggest we need to focus on encouraging and supporting Mike. Thanks for all your hard work in developing and managing this excellent site for Team Trevino. Keep up the great work. Let's all keep encouraging and tastefully entertaining Mike.

My comments were not supposed to insult Mike, neither his crew. If anyone feels offended, I apologize.

Well, but posting an article about our country impressed me in a very positive way! I know all the crews have to do almost as extreme jobs as solo riders so this kind of work is praiseworthy. So keep up the good work and hope that the rider each of us favorizes comes first to Atlantic City. Sisters and girlfriends will be waiting for them at home :)

Greetings from Slovenia,
Vlado

Thank Vlado for the kind words. I'm certainly not offended nor do I think Mike would be. I just realize there are families and others who might not share our sense of humor. It's all in good fun and I understand. Nothing now is too bad, I just didn't want this thing to turn into a teenage chat room.
