Trevino moves into second place

About a half mile outside of the Durango time station (#15), Mike just passed Baloh’s RV with Baloh sitting inside. Apparently Mike’s got a big grin on his face and is feeling strong again. Temperatures are 95 degrees and winds are still very strong. Tough conditions for the second day in a row. These are not RAAM record-breaking conditions so Pete Penseyres can rest easy knowing his record will probably not be broken this year.

The crew was also able to dial Mike into a little home remedy of ginger and honey to help ease any stomach discomfort. The adjoining image is another cell phone quality shot of Mike rolling out of Durango. We're looking to get a digital camera to the crew with the crew change and hopefully get some better quality shots by Thursday.

The heat just turned up a notch in Robic's RV...

No doubt he is prepared for the challenge.

I think the only thing it's safe to bet on on is that we're going to see another epic battle this year.

Robic, has finally failed to match Penseyres pace, and is about .3mph off record pace. But, last year between 1500-2500 miles, Robic out rode Penseyres record ride. And of course he never lost record average MPH until after Putnamville, Indiana.

Way to ride Mike! I can't wait to join up with you on Thursday. Crewing for you is a great honor!

I continue to receive contributions and constant emails from your sponsors. These folks are thrilled to have a chance to be involved in this journey. Here's what one wrote to me just a few minutes ago:

"I have been following all the drama--incredible! This is one of those events that has really captured my attention and inspired me. I appreciate the opportunity you made for me to support Mike. Our guy really does have a chance to win, but even if he does not, it is very cool to have met a contender in this race and to be part of the group supporting him and rooting for him. I was telling a friend at lunch about the competition, and as soon as I described the race, he began to root for Mike. The word is spreading...."

Keep the heat on Mike! You inspire us all.

Hey Mike-
I figured this would be the best time to tell you this but well,.... I made out with Robic. We had a brief affair before he flew back to Solvenia. Does this make you angry? Or make you pedal faster? Well it should so go beat his ASS!
your little sister Katherine. :)

Big conrats to Mike for moving into second place. Glad to see that Mike has recovered after eating up the #2 Slovanian's lunch. Now its time for desert....Go get the #1 Slovanian rider Mike. Stay on plan and soon you'll be reeling Robic in and on your way to a first place finish in Atlantic City. Don't worry about the road kill you leave behind; there are many riders behind you who can clean it up. Onward!

Mike:

Robic wasn't the only one to make out with your sister Katherine, so did I. Apparently you already knew about it and have evened things up by passing me in Durango. I hope you treat Robic the same way you have treated me. We Slovanians are really big on nondiscriminatory practices, so please pass Robic as soon as possible. I don't want to be the only loser returning to Slovania next week. Please win Mike so that Jure can share the loss with me.

Oh, very sorry, but Robic and Baloh will both have another affair with your sister. No doubt they will be in Atlantic City sooner than Mike.

Valdo is full of shit. He and I have been having an affair for years. We used to hang out at the baths in Slovania together with Jure and Marco, who were at the time dating each other. Trust me, neither of these guys are interested in lovely young women like your sister Elizabeth. I continue to enjoy sharing my bed with young boys at the ranch. Once I dump Valdo, I plan to invite you to Neverland. You are so hot that I may give up young boys like Valdo in order to spend time with you once you are victorious in RAAM this coming Sunday. You are awesome!

Love,

Michael Jackson
